ADG REMEMBERS: Alpha Delta Gamma National Fraternity remembers Brother Anthony "Bro" Smulders, Award of Merit recipient, Moderator Emeritus, and Past National Moderator of Alpha Delta Gamma National Fraternity. Bro was 66. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 4th at Sacred Heart Chapel on LMU's campus and he was laid to rest on Tuesday, May 5 in Oxnard. Alpha Delta Gamma is founded on Five Basic Principles, known as the Five S's: Spiritual, Scholastic, Service, School Spirit, and Social. Today, Alpha Delta Gamma still holds these Five Basic Principles in high regard. Each Chapter tries her best to complete many aspects of the Five S's during the course of the school year. But most importantly, Alpha Delta Gamma still remembers the true reason why her Founding Fathers started talking that fateful day in 1924. And this reason is TRUE BROTHERHOOD. One will not find a closer Fraternity of friends and Brothers around the country than Alpha Delta Gamma National Fraternity. Our smaller size is our biggest attraction. In this National Organization, one is known by his face and his name not a number. And in doing as such, one can make a name for himself in this Fraternity and make close friends with members from all around the country. Such uniqueness evolves from being an Alpha Delt. It warrants a question: How genuine would it be to meet another Alpha Delt in this world, compared to meeting one of tens-of-thousands of another organization? It makes one wonder why gentlemen would choose otherwise. |
