Sneak Peek of Convention Topics

As always, the following elections will take place, National Sweetheart, 2007 Convention Site, and National Vice President of External Affairs.  Make sure 
If you want to run for any of these positions that you make sure that you are prepared especially for the 2007 Convention Site.  If your chapter has a female who plays in active part in your chapter make sure that they are there to run for National Sweetheart because in order to be National Sweetheart, they have to be voted upon by the National Assembly.  
Ever wanted to be in on the National Executive Board, well here is your chance.  VP of External Affairs position is open and if you want to run for the position, be at convention!

Text Box: Each Chapter has their own Chapter Sweetheart, but once a year at Convention one woman is chosen to be National Sweetheart. The history of the National Sweetheart traces its lineage to Alpha Chapter, who at the Convention Ball of June 18th, 1938, made Miss Jane Carney Queen of the Ball. This presentation was so well accepted that the National Office authorized the selection of 

National Sweetheart beginning in 1939.
The first woman chosen to represent the National Fraternity was selected by the Convention Committee in 1939. The very first National Sweetheart was Miss Beryl Rabouin of Epsilon Chapter 1939-40. This tradition continued for two more years until the onset of WWII when all fraternity actions ceased. 
Following re-activation of the National Fraternity after the War, Russell D. Jones and Thomas C. Rennison of Lambda Chapter conceived the idea of initiating a nation-wide contest to select the National Sweetheart. “When I was V-P & Pledgemaster at Epsilon and when I was President, the chapter used our
