Text Box: The convention will be held at the beautiful Hacienda Hotel, located less than one mile from Los Angeles International Airport, less than three miles from the Loyola Marymount campus, and less than two miles from some of Southern California’s most popular beaches. The hotel is also close to an 18-hole public golf course and driving range, as well as many restaurants, bars, banks and other services all within walking distance. Best of all, room rates are just $90 a night.

The site also includes a wealth of details about local attractions, planning Text Box: The buzz is already starting to grow around ADG for this summer’s 75th National Convention, which will be held Aug. 9-12, 2006 in El Segundo, California and hosted by Lambda Chapter. All our west coast brothers are looking forward to making it not only a productive and successful week, but a lot of fun as well.
Highlights will include a tour of Hollywood, a beach pub crawl, a Dodger game and much more. “We can’t wait to show you everything Los Angeles – the nation’s second-largest metropolitan area, home of the entertainment industry and one of the world’s great tourist destinations – has to offer,” said Chris Patterson, convention steward.

We look forward to seeing everyone in Southern California this summer for what promises to be a very memorable and exciting convention – don’t miss it!
Text Box: After the call for culture change at this past Convention, many wondered how this will be done. For starters, we as brothers, both active and alumni have to come to the realization that ADG is not four years and you are done. Rather, ADG should be the fraternity for life. The best way to do this is with the creation of alumni chapters and associations. Text Box: This is an interesting concept that we need to push over the next few years and it begins with you the college student.
As you graduate, you will fill the ranks of the alumni. Will you disappear or make this a fraternity for life? The National Council has put together a manual so that you can build your associations and chapters. Alumni chapters are directly related to the chapter where as an alumni association could be formed in an area where there is not a chapter, but ADG alumni are present. So as you get ready to graduate and you plan your life after college, do not forget about the fraternity. If your chapter does not have an organized alumni group, organize one, become proactive.
